for the money, you are probably not going to beat the AM receptionsound a little on low side, but not bad, if placed on hard surface much better soundlack of manual presets is really no big deal--- memorize the # or punch in your frequencygreat value, love it

The signal strength is great and the radio is situated in a basement. The battery life is fantastic. I like that you have a green light when it is done charging since the instructions say not to leave it charging very long after fully charged.

Very good, small unit. Impressed with the full, balanced sound from these little speakers - again, considering their size. Picks up FM stations clearly. Pairs Bluetooth devices easily. Just wish that it allowed playing USB on shuffle . Smart, little unit. Well worth the price.

Compact, funcional and basic radio. The sound is good. Battery life is very good. Station memories not so easy to manage, but is a minor issue. In general, a very good radio for my needs.

I recently purchased the J-288. It's an impressive small radio. Two improvements are needed however: 1) add a pop-out stand, the radio falls over easily; 2) add a bass boost button for music. The speakerphone feature is wonderful!
